Displaying the Diary
The Diary of scheduled Deliveries and Crane and Hoist Bookings is something that everyone on site needs to be aware of. Work will be scheduled around when materials or equipment arrive. And to minimise the space needed to store materials, reduce the risk of damage or loss and to save costs materials should be delivered just before they are needed. Ideally “just-in-time”.
Zone Manager has several ways of making the diary available around a site.
- Give users access to Zone Manager. Users can be given a login to Zone Manager but with restricted access so they can see the diary but not change it.
- Put up scrolling displays at key points on the site e.g. in the reception area or the canteen.
A display system can be set up so it only has to be switched on to automatically show todays, the next days or however many days bookings. Settings allow the display to be matched to the screen size, which hours of the day to show etc. - Link up the system to existing information display systems.
- Print out the diary as you see it on the screen in large format. The diary can be printed in A4 or A3 or larger formats and stuck on notice boards.
- Put the diary on your Intranet. An optional module will automatically, at predetermined intervals update a folder with the latest diary in HTML format for inclusion on your Intranet.
- Add the Zone Manager Web Module and make the Diary available for authorised web users.
- Delivery schedules can be printed for each Gate-Man or Crane operator with full detail of materials and reminder Notes of what to do when special deliveries arrive.
