An overview of Zone Manager

Zone Manager is our powerful multi-user planning and real-time operational tool that can be used in a variety of industry sectors, including construction, retail and warehousing. Initially created to fulfil the rigorous demands of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, it has developed a strong position as the leading delivery planning and management software tool available to logistics professionals.

For more case studies follow the links on the right. To investigate further use the menus on the left.

At its core the Zone Manager has a bookings diary which can be made available to all users over a network or Web interface. This can be used to book resources and deliveries. Gates, loading docks and cranes are defined as Zones within the Zone Manager. The rules of the site can be configured to control what can be booked and where. Contractors/suppliers can enter booking details themselves or if preferred can enter booking requests which must be authorised. Lists of planned daily activities and deliveries can be printed at the touch of a button, or provided over the Web interface to laptops or mobile devices and made available to gate operators, contractors, crane operators etc.

Zone Manager is not just for planning. It is also a real time management tool, used to log actual events such as the arrival and departure of vehicles on site or at a holding area. This allows managers to control activities as they are happening. The flexibility of Zone Manager means that you can log as many details as the project demands. Apart from simply logging vehicle details, arrival times and departure times, you can use the Zone Manager to track materials and delivery quantities. All events, both planned and actual, are logged on the system. This provides an invaluable resource for follow up and analysis of, for example, contractor performance and delivery time-keeping.

In a nutshell: Zone Manager is a multi-user Delivery Management system that helps logistics managers plan, execute and follow up their operations.
