Woolworths had entered into preliminary discussions with a number of suppliers for the implementation of a new automated storage and picking facility which included a high level of computerised tracking and control, and required additional skills and resources to help move the project forward. The Company commissioned THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS to help make a choice of supplier, validate the design and, in conjunction with the supplier, prepare detailed functional specifications. We then provided a project team to set up and manage the development and supply of the equipment and software. This included writing test specifications and managing the project through to sign off.
