TNT had developed a major new automated distribution centre for a Client in Europe. However, soon after start-up it was clear that there were serious problems with the operation and The Logistics Business were asked to put a team in to help improve matters. Working closely with the team on site, a series of steps were undertaken, first to stabilise matters and then to apply project management techniques to identify the problems and solve them in a systematic way. The Logistics Business stayed on site until TNT were in a position to take the work forward on their own. The site is now operating effectively and providing a quality service to its customer.
