T&S Stores

This was the UK’s largest convenience store retailer. An over stretched supply chain was threatening to stifle growth and we were therefore asked to take a complete review of the logistics strategy. This included developing a computer model of the business as it was expected to look in the future and using this model to consider the implications of the do nothing option compared with a number of other scenarios. Options were compared on the basis of cost and service and a strategy was developed based on the introduction of new supplier arrangements.

T & S Stores were purchased by Tesco in January 2003, and the stores now operate as ‘Tesco Express’.
