Better known by their High Street fascias of H Samuel, Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis, Signet are the UK’s leading jewellery retailer, with over 600 outlets. With considerable investment in their stores they wanted to improve the frequency of replenishment deliveries and move delivery windows out of crucial selling times. The existing in-house fleet could not meet these new service criteria without significant expansion, so the task was put out to tender.

The Signet team did not have sufficient experience of the out-sourcing process and selected THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS to support and manage this. By combining the detailed knowledge which Signet staff had of their business, with the extensive experience of out-source management and the market place for Logistics Service Providers, which we had accumulated, a partner was duly selected and has subsequently enabled the Signet Logistics team to deliver the benefits which their business required.
