THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS were called in to help re-engineer a system working with floor running cranes (the previous ones were rack supported and the floor was not designed to take the loads of a floor mounted crane) and how to produce an implementation plan which would not interrupt production. Our solution was to use conveyors and shuttle cars rather than AGV’s.
