Overview of Manufacturing Logistics

To many people logistics means warehouses and lorries, but this is nothing like the whole story. Logistics is concerned with all those activities of an enterprise which ensure that customers are given total satisfaction at minimum cost. This means that almost every function of an organisation is involved in the logistics process; not the least of which is manufacturing.
