Logistics in the UK Construction Industry

In many respects the UK construction industry leads the world in design innovation and techniques and yet it retains many inefficient and outdated practices which have long since disappeared in other industrial sectors. A few enlightened companies within the construction industry have begun to see that good logistics practices and a supply chain management view of business are essential to achieving sustainable improvement, but most companies have yet to recognise the benefits that can be realised.
