Hawnt Electronics

Hawnt Electronics are a small privately owned distributor of electronic components. Rapid growth in business was placing great pressures on space particularly and Hawnt were reluctantly considering a major investment in a new distribution centre. Before going ahead with this THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS were asked to investigate the operation to see if anything could be done to improve the current operation.

THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS were able to find a number of opportunities to reduce space demands the greatest being a switch to random pick face location. This could only work with changes to the Warehouse Management System and so we liased with the software supplier to develop a new solution. This proved highly successful and gave Hawnt a valuable reprieve from the need to make a new investment.
