When Tesco Direct - non food prepared for further expansion of the already very successful one-man (small item) distribution facilities, they appointed THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS to review responses to their requests for information (RFIs) for both 3rd party services and automated warehousing options.

This exercise, and the subsequent discussions with potential suppliers, paved the way for a quick transition to the next stage of the process, the development of a detailed Invitation To Tender for issue to a shortlist of suppliers.

The understanding of Tesco Direct’s business, which had been gained through a number of earlier projects, including the original warehouse fit-out, made THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS an ideal partner for this exercise.
