Construction Industry benefits from environmental concerns

Each year the construction industry generates 120 million tonnes of waste, 25 million tonnes (2008 figures) of which it sends to landfill. This is three times as much as all the domestic waste generated in the country and it is therefore not surprising that the construction industry is the subject of much interest by WRAP.
