Computacenter Case Note

Following years of very rapid growth, Computacenter, the UK’s largest provider of IT to business, was looking to build a new head office and operations centre. The operations centre was required not only to store and distribute product but also to provide facilities to configure PC’s to meet individual Customer requirements, all on very short lead times.

Computacenter were keen to adopt modern techniques including automation where appropriate and so a number of options were put forward with a recommendation. This led on to tendering and implementation. THE LOGISTICS BUSINESS’s role throughout the project focused on design issues and included every aspect of the Operations Centre right down to the markings on the floor.
