Boots the Chemist

Boots have been one of our regular clients for whom we have undertaken a number of projects. One of the most significant was the design for the refurbishment of a large automated warehouse on the Nottingham site. The work included an extensive analysis of requirements and the development of a number of options. We also undertook detailed costings of the chosen option to assist with the submission to the Board for budget approval.

The solution was much complicated by the need to replace a conventional narrow aisle operation with an automated crane based solution without shutting the operation down.
On completion of this project we undertook a feasibility study on the application of high speed sortation in a pick by line environment. In this case we were able to show that other much simpler solutions using a mix of automated and conventional solutions could deliver most of the benefits at a fraction of the cost.
