AssiDoman

AssiDoman is part of a large multinational producer of paper products. Its warehousing and distribution was partly managed in house and partly contracted out . We were asked to review the existing arrangements and cost structure and to put forward proposals for alternative arrangements that would offer benefits.

Our proposed solution included a combination of own managed factory warehousing and contracted out central warehousing with all transport contracted out. We prepared the invitations to tender for the contract and reviewed the returns.

The prices being offered were compared with the existing arrangements and, in particular, the cost benefits in terms of service level improvements were considered.
